The Bosch motor is very smooth in its power-assistance delivery, so much so that it is hardly noticeable, other than pedalling has become so much easier: particularly uphill! In all other respects it feels like a normal cycle, letting you freewheel when you want. The disc brakes are very good too and provide plenty of confidence. I have been very pleased and impressed as well with the gears, both in terms of how easy it is to change gear as well as how smoothly they ‘kick-in’ when riding along. At just under 25 kg it is not a lightweight bike to lift into a car for example or onto a bike carrier. But the weight does add to the feeling of safety and security when riding.

The motor is very quiet and subtle so you are not really aware when it kicks in. There are 4 power levels so you can choose how hard you want to work. Hills are a breeze! Excellent disc brakes, which are important when you are riding at speed. The only thing I find is that the gears are a bit clunky.
