On a warm sunny day, I cannot think of a more pleasant experience than cycling on my Raleigh Motus GT. Steep, long upward hills are a pleasure to conquer because it’s like taking mild exercise. I frequently cycle from home to Wincanton ((12 -14 miles return) or Shepton Mallet (16 miles), both of which routes include many steep and semi-steep hills. There are various degrees of battery assistance to choose from on the Motus, going right up to ‘turbo’, and the sense of confidence which I feel when I approach any hill is exhilarating. It is a great way to quickly lose unwanted pounds around the waist without strain. I recently cycled over 40 miles on a route with many steep hills, and afterwards felt that glow one gets after a workout. By the way, I am 71 years old, and it is quite satisfying when I zoom past much younger cyclists as if I were a racing pro, though up to now I have managed to resist the strong temptation to shout out ‘chase’! The quick and excellent service I receive from E spokes, a friendly family business, is a huge bonus. Get yourself this bike and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed!
