Founded in the Netherlands by Nico Van Balveren the company now sells different kinds of bicycle baskets and Basil Bags across the globe. Nico developed the first

basket in 1976 for Ine who came into the shop wanting one for her bike allowing her to enjoy her rides more.

In 2005 the first colourful panniers were designed.
